Grandmother Rosa's Sicilian table, brought to Austin
Hand-rolled pasta · Heritage recipes · Family-owned
Slow-braised wild boar, Sicilian red wine, heritage tomatoes, aged pecorino
Every strand of pasta is rolled by hand the morning it's served. The ragù simmers for six hours. This is the dish Rosa brought from Sicily — unchanged, uncompromised, and the reason Bella Taverna exists.

Bella Taverna was built around a single idea: that the best meals feel like family. Our recipes trace back to Rosa's kitchen in Sicily — handwritten on cards, carried across an ocean, and cooked with the same hands for over sixty years.
We opened in Austin in 2015 not to compete with trendy Italian restaurants, but to offer something rarer: a meal made with memory. No shortcuts. No shortcuts. Every sauce, every pasta, every dessert is built from the same foundation Rosa laid decades ago.
